Faithful Friends

We visited the farm tonight. I've been bugging Nathan to go out and take some pictures of the horses and to give them a little attention. They aren't going to be around forever.

Tiny and Squiggs

They are pretty much inseparable which makes it a little hard to try and ride them. They don't get ridden enough but they are nice old men. Squiggs is Deb's horse. She's always liked Palominos. He's a bit younger than Tiny (but not by much).

Tiny was Nathan's old 4-H Western pleasure horse. He's a 1987 model quarter horse. His registered name is Dina's Bonanza...he acquired Tiny as a nickname due to the fact he has tiny feet.
He showed him in many shows and fairs over the years and did well. Nathan purchased him with his own money in 8th grade...he saved birthday, Christmas and work money to purchase him ($2000). He's a bit creaky these days as most older horses are and suffers from arthritis in his hocks. Nathan has always said Tiny was never fond of ponies or cows. Whenever we do get to go ride....Tiny is now my faithful steed. He tolerates me well.

Viv got to try Tiny out today too. She did well....didn't seem scared. Another equestrian in the making...
